In 2000, the company I was working for was required to teach all employees CPR. I volunteered for the job, and became a certified instructor through the Red Cross. My coworkers enjoyed my teaching style - even third shift employees did not go to sleep in my classes.
After finding that I have a knack for training, I went on to pursue instruction full time. Since then, I have presented seminars in schools, multinational corporations, and factories; in Washington, D.C., Prince Georges County, MD, Falls Church, VA, Philadelphia, PA and many other towns and cities in between. This year during a class, one of my students walked toward me and before I knew it he collapsed in my arms. I slowly lowered him to the ground and followed the emergency steps I had been teaching my students. The paramedics were pleased with the care I gave him while waiting for them to arrive.
My classes cover a wide area of topics, including First Aid, Adult, Child, and Infant CPR/AED, Babysitting, Professional Rescuing, HIV Awareness, Conflict Resolution, and Strategic Management. In order to highlight the importance of Pet First Aid and knowing the correct emergency steps to take, ABC News interviewed a client of Philly CPR Classes and his adorable pets. ABC News- Pet First Aid On December 1st, 2010 I was recognized with a Ten year service pin and was the only instructor honored with a plaque for outstanding service. The event was held at Voorhes, NJ at The Mansion restaurant. There were about 200 people attending the event. Authorized Provider of American Red Cross Health and Safety Training
